Graphic Designer

Hours: 40 hours/week Mon-Fri
Length of Assignment: Immediate start through Thursday May 15, 2014
Skill Set: At least 3 years in a graphic design in an ad agency, studio or corporate setting dealing with multiple component advertising and marketing campaigns. Ability to be creative and to visualize a design and create it into and end product.
Extensive knowledge of current Macintosh graphic design technologies and software applications including Adobe InDesign, Quark Express 6.5, Adobe Illustrator CS2, and Adobe Photoshop CS2 . Prepares files for electronic pre-press for the appropriate medium after final approval.

· Formal training in Graphic Design, thorough understanding of offset printing, thorough understanding of electronic art set up

· Thorough understanding of offset printing

· Thorough understanding of electronic art set up for offset printing

· Ability to work effectively under pressure

· Web design and illustration experience helpful


Duties: This position will create and produce multi-component, multi-media advertising and marketing campaigns and materials, including but not limited to brochures, posters, print ads, interior/exterior cards, flyers, direct mail, newsletter, logos, website design, etc. Develop creative strategies and creative design plan to meet the goals of the project. Develop design concepts and determine design medium for project within marketing plan and established RTD design standards.
