This candidate will be responsible for the initial design and development of the circular. The candidate will work closely with the design team to adhere to circular standards and layouts. This candidate will be responsible for all the creative and copy treatment templates. This candidate will also assist and contribute to new creative exploration, seasonal graphic treatments and creative brainstorming sessions with the team. This candidate will report directly to the Creative Director, but supports the senior designers and designers for circular and print. In addition to the above this employee may also be responsible for maintaining creative libraries and style guides and communicating changes to creative themes/elements to rest of circular team.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create themes, concepts and templates for CVS/pharmacy circulars. CVS/pharmacy circulars drive millions of dollars in revenue per week and are a major focal point of corporate advertising strategy. Circular concepts are completed months in advance of run date and are reviewed at the highest levels of merchandising and marketing management
Interpret the CVS/pharmacy brand and apply best-in-class advertising strategy to circulars
Work closely with senior designers and designers to support the creative needs of Sales Promotion, Marketing and Merchandising teams
Use creative skills and out of the box thinking to move branding initiatives forward
Work with circular production team to ensure branding initiatives are met and followed
Review competitors work and become intimate with CVS/pharmacy brand personality
