Graphic Designer

Focus and design challenge:
Supporting the international placement of a global retail brand. Create unique brand, promotional and collateral materials for countries/cultures where the brand appears.

Responsibilities and essential job functions:
? Innovative, creative and strategic thinker; executes creative thought process design, typography, form and color.
? Ability to effectively articulate concepts (visually and verbally).
? Initiates and obtains creative feedback from other designers and managers at appropriate times during the course of the project.
? Keeps design lead(s) and project manager(s) informed of project status.
? Collaborates with content team, prepress partners and Procurement managers to execute design projects.
? Adheres to a design strategy (including budgets and timelines) based on the project brief, creative criteria, expected production values, and reviews creative concepts against the strategy.
? Assists with coordination of outside vendors including illustrators and photographers.


Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
? 3 to 5 years of professional experience with a design firm or advertising agency.
? Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines within short time frames.
? Strong organization skills. Capable of dealing with the many needs of countries and their various moving parts (each region has distinct characteristics).
? Proficient in Adobe CS, knowledge of digital prepress and print production processes.
? Extensive travel, living abroad or working with companies based within Europe or Asia (this is a plus to this position but not a requirement).
