Graphic Designer

Our team is looking for a top Graphic Designer to redesign and update the product branding on all our books, courses, and marketing collateral. This is a widescale, high priority endeavor, and our team needs auxiliary help.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience applying a complex brand framework to new product and marketing designs. They will need strong critical thinking/judgment and collaboration skills. Previous experience in book publishing or other retail-facing business desired. Their strength will be in idea generation, comping, review/refinement, and delivery of final files.

Requires hands-on, expert level design skills to update or reinvent how the brand is applied across our products. Examples: Templated designs for book covers, data sheets, support graphics and continuous, productive collaboration/interaction within and outside team.
Requirements:
• 5 plus years of experience with proven ability to lead and direct design styles and efforts.
• Must be highly proficient with interactive web technologies, software or web applications, and print and branding.
• Must have minimum of intermediate-level skill with Adobe Creative Suite, i.e. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, plus Acrobat Pro.
• Ability to discuss and present an in-depth knowledge of typography is preferred.
• Strong communication skills along with ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment required.
• Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work as a team player.
• Demonstrated experience with project planning and excellent project management skills required. Portfolio review required.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design or related area required.
• A combination of education and experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
