The Graphic Designer will work and support the design team with innovative, creative, and complete graphic design concepts based on direction given by Design management and / or strategic criteria determined by Design, Marketing, and Executive management. This is accomplished through creating artwork for preliminary to final press ready art and working within the established guidelines.

1. Generate design concepts and translate into preliminary to final press ready art. This includes: textile art, print patterns, chip artwork, graphics for presentations, and graphic art for plastic parts.
2. Participate in the creation of 2-D and 3-D preliminary models; this includes creating the graphics required for proper presentation of product. (IE: textiles, chip art, creative solutions to new parts, etc…)
3. Manage and coordinate approvals from various team members on final chip artwork before releasing to Asia for production.
4. Support the on going development of the product as required.

- Generate creative graphic concepts per direction from Design management and / or strategic criteria determined by Design, Marketing, and Executive management.
- Render graphics for 2-D and 3-D preliminary models of complete product concepts for presentation to Design, Marketing, and Executive management; this includes working with the Designer/s, Patternmaker/s and Sample Maker/s, Model Maker/s, Engineer/s, and Development Designer/s.
- Partner with Development Designer/s and Cost Engineering to insure adherence to cost / target profit margin goals.
- Effectively participate in the early development phase of the product from Design Start through Executive Approval (EA); this includes providing certain information and tangible items required for the creation of Development Start Package/s.
- Continue to support the on going development of the product as necessary from EA through Production Pilot (PP).

- Professional experience in same or related industries: Toy Industry, Fashion Industry, Consumer Goods, etc.
- Developed knowledge of various raw materials; textiles, plastics, etc…
- Developed knowledge of the manufacturing process
- Developed knowledge / awareness of costing principles
- Computer Skills: Adobe CS5, Microsoft Outlook and Power point are required and others are considered a plus.
