Graphic Designer

This position assists/leads in the production, management and distribution of marketing materials according to plan and strategy. Position requires a positive attitude, marketing channel knowledge, and up-to-date knowledge of cutting-edge design trends to create/source, optimize, and deploy creative assets for use in digital and other marketing channels. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
– Participate as member of Diagnostics Information Solutions (DIS) Marketing Team 
– Develop and design the aesthetics and layout of marketing and public relations materials, translating facts and features of subject material into graphic terms that best convey intended meaning 
– Maintain internal graphic design and creative asset library, providing special graphic design services as required with oversight of assigned projects 
– Utilize current graphic design software to produce, sales support collateral, presentations, and other material for communications media, including social media 
– Create design solutions for successful strategic implementation of new products, market positioning and sales objectives across various media 
– May produce technical illustrations for manuals, brochures, or other documents 
– Originate design, art and copy layouts. Review drafts, proofs camera-ready art and pre-flight production-ready files, to ensure optimal production quality 
– Determine style, design and arrangement of type for illustrations and inforgraphics; apply established corporate branding specifications to ensure work meets organization guidelines 
– Responsible for input on reproduction and printing processes through outside vendors, providing instructions and directly preparing final layouts for production 
– May design web pages, including layout, graphics, and navigation working closely with vendors and within Adobe Experience Manager to integrate text, graphics, sound, and/or video 
– Collaborate with team to plan, organize, and execute assigned projects. Meet with employees, consultants, and/others to assess project needs 
– Requires ability to learn technical details of the product lines and document structure Manages workload and projects with management coaching 
– May perform other duties and special projects as assigned 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: 
– Organized and coachable 
– Experience in Adobe Experience Manager highly valued; Wordpress helpful 
– Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; able to learn additional applications and methods of design communication in order to accommodate marketing needs 
– Acute awareness of, and ability to manage to, multiple timelines 
– Detail-oriented; able to manage competing, concurrent priorities 
– Ability to learn and follow established processes necessary to develop, route for approval and release controlled communications within a highly regulated industry 
– Strong interpersonal skills that build quality, internal and external relationships 
– Efficient written and oral communication skills 
– Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
– Develop contingency plans and demonstrate resourcefulness in keeping projects moving forward 
– Ability to effectively navigate highly matrixed environments 
– Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Google Suite of products 
– Ability to follow corporate branding to ensure marketing deliverables meet divisional and corporate brand standards and align with global brand objectives 
– Experience managing vendors 


EXPERIENCE: 
– Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related field 
– 3 years of experience in layout, design, and/or illustration
