Our client is a leading supplier of health, beauty, household, personal care and home appliance products in Australasia, with operations in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. This particular role focuses on the home appliance division - The Home Appliances division markets and distributes large appliances such as ovens, cooktops, washing machines and dishwashers.

Purpose of Role:

The basic purpose of this role is to produce visual artwork across a variety of mediums whilst maintaining the integrity and identity of each Brand.

Principle Accountabilities: You are responsible for the following outcomes:  Producing artwork for; Brochures, Instruction Manuals, Flyers, Packaging, Press Ads, Point-Of-Sale material including electrostatic stickers, posters, vehicle signage, large format wall signage, vinyl-cut lettering, Pull-up banners, stationery, business cards – anything and everything!  

  • Working with templates and the ability to create templates to streamline work flows with shortcuts etc.  

  • Strong finished art skills and the ability to preflight and prepare finished artwork in a variety of different formats for printers, sign writers etc.  

  • Strong Photoshop retouching skills including colour correction and clipping paths.  

  • Illustration of technical drawings of appliances etc.  Develop and maintain Style Guides as required.  

  • Digital content design including banners and web tiles – a strong understanding of Social Media would be highly regarded.  

  • MS Office skills including creating presentations and templates in PowerPoint.  

  • Print Management – dealing directly with Printers and sourcing quotes, signing-off final proofs, building relationships with external suppliers  Booking final collateral into a warehousing system  Being the in-house resource for all design-related questions or information required  Managing the design workflow and filing of jobs  Outsourcing any overflow work  Engaging external Agencies or Web Developers as required  Word Press CMS experience  MS Office skills including creating presentations and templates in PowerPoint.  Create and maintain image and video libraries.

  • The ability to communicate verbally and visually with respect to design considerations  

  • The ability to respond to briefs with design and commercial objectives in mind  

  • The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small Marketing Team.  

  • A high level of creativity and imagination.  

  • An excellent grasp of typography.  

  • Ability to work well under pressure.  

  • A high level of attention to detail.  

  • A professional and positive approach to your work.

  • Strong grammatical skills and attention to detail when checking over copy.

Qualifications Required:  

Tertiary:  Industry related qualification  Professional:  At least 4 years’ experience in a similar in-house role
