Graphic Designer

Are you looking for a contract opportunity to work with a well respected University?
This is a Graphic Design role, full-time for about 3 months+
You will have some flexibility of working from home a couple of days a week

The graphic designer conceptualizes and executes creative solutions that support the overall marketing strategy and creative vision. This role brings fresh, innovative ideas that meets brand strategies, and
positions our brand uniquely against the competition. The incumbent develops and refines concepts, and has the ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Essential Functions
• Brings creative vision to life across integrated marketing channels including print, web, email, mobile, social media, and video. 50% print (brochures, flyers, etc.) 40% web (email designs, banner ads, etc.) and
10% other (Powerpoint presentations, event branding, etc.).
• Conceptualizes and executes interaction and user experience design as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Applies conceptual strategy; incorporates new design elements based on business objectives, user feedback, reporting analysis, industry trends, etc. to successfully implement a high-impact, customer-focused marketing strategy.

Required Skills:
• Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite applications; particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Thorough understanding of current trends in typography, color theory, photography, and page layout.
• Ability to operate independently, yet contribute in a collaborative environment, working with senior designers to develop concepts, comps, layouts, and final art.
• Ability to research technology and interaction design trends; make recommendations that balance business needs, customer needs and technological capabilities when designing the user-facing aspects of new digital initiatives, features and/or enhancements.
• Knowledge of all standard industry printing requirements including pre-flight and file preparation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; are able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Creative problem solver with exceptional attention to detail that thrives in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.

Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• 3-5 years of professional design experience in a creative department or agency.
• Client and vendor contact experience required.
