We are seeking a results oriented individual who is highly motivated and works well independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as within a group. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Design Department Manager to help service the business with design, production, logistics and graphics support. The ideal candidate must be naturally dynamic, pro-active, organised and personable and have the ability to multi-task. Strong communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities:
Design and art-working
• Designs and typesets complex, content heavy learning solutions which consists of a multitude of documents
• Proofreads/edits text, ensure consistency of documents
• Research and application of client branding for new projects
• Design lead for global print files for certain clients
• Designs internal documents for marketing, conferences and other events
• Design and purchasing internal stationary, equipment and any event specific items such as banners, gifts, etc.
• Internal brand guardian, ensuring consistency across the region
• Graphic visualisation of ideas and text content for Powerpoint and Word
• Creation of PPT and Word documents
• Working closely with internal stakeholders at all levels of the business to ensure their messaging is turned into clear and impactful visuals
• Image sourcing and manipulation
• Upkeep of image library (along with other team members)
• Liaise with printers

Production management:
Keep all projects moving smoothly through the business
• Advocates for appropriate time-lines - monitor progress and adjust as necessary in response to any changes i.e. keeps all informed of conflicts, delays or any other unusual situations and obtains deadline extensions when necessary.
• Client liaison – branding and printing
• Print production start to finish (prep, proof, print, ship etc.)
• Work closely with project assistants to hand over design files, parts lists and printing requirements
• Ensure all design files are circulated to and kept up to date for consultants
• Work closely with internal stakeholders at all levels of the business to ensure their messaging is turned into clear and impactful visuals
• Communicate job status information to all team members
• Expedite the inevitable “crisis” jobs
• Provide clear direction to stakeholders and team mates and makes sure that staff know what is expected of them

Necessary skills:
• High level of proficiency in Adobe CC2016 (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office
• Creative – ability to produce new designs, enhance old designs, and find good solutions to interpreting heavy content visually
• Extremely accurate, with an eye for details
• Good project management skills
• Effective interpersonal skills and communication
• Super organised and flexible - pro-active, always a step ahead and on top of tasks at hands, communicates needs, instructions and decisions clearly, both verbally and in writing. Adapts communication style to meet the needs of the audience. Uses probing questions to check understanding
• Highly reliable in order to inspire trust and motivate other members of the team
• Good management skills to work with a diverse team
• Shows positive and solution-finding attitude when faced with challenges
• High level of adaptability, able to switch from one task to another quickly and regularly
• Shows confidence to perform own role without unnecessary support in normal circumstances
