Our client, al regional transmission organization that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity, is looking for a stellar Graphic Designer to join their team!

In this role, you'll join an established internal creative department and work alongside other designers, UXers, developers and animation professionals. While of course creativity is of utmost importance, this is a role within the overall corporate communications department of a large government-run company so maturity and professionalism is key here!

Start Date: July
Duration: 18 month contract @ 40 hours per week
Location: on-site in Audubon, PA

Job Description:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for implementing the overall design standards. This person takes direction from the Manager of Branding and Creative Services and from the content owners within the business units. The Graphic Designer develops ALL internal and external communications materials that align and support the corporate brand in a team environment within the Corporate Communications Department. You'll be responsible for the entire design process, from concepting to production in this role and will be given complete design freedom for each project.

Essential Duties + Responsibilities:
• Plan, create and design a wide variety of graphic materials that satisfy the needs of customers. These materials may be of printed or electronic form and may include: illustrations, brochures, newsletters, web sites and graphics, and corporate identification marks.
• Work hands-on designing, collaborating and inspiring in a team dynamic on all aspects of design.
• Commitment to creating smart, innovative and client–focused quality work.
• Seamlessly manages time in a steady workflow of complex, multi-function projects within the creative team.
• Responsible for translating verbal requests to a visual product through verbal communication as well as through sketches and mock-ups.
• Natural ability to conceptualize, design and create new artwork with frequency and ease from inception through creation of final design.
• A solid understanding of typography, color and composition.
• Understanding of web-design best practices and the ability to design web-interfaces that are easy-to-use and enhance the user interface.
• Ability to work independently.
• Work with the customers to complete all phases of a project from inception to a draft or finished product.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor Arts – Graphic Design
• 4 years’ experience - in an agency or in house creative department as a member of a graphic design team. (including co-op)
• Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
• Ability to apply graphic design skills and tools in the composition of technical documentation including flow charts, diagrams, and presentation materials
• Ability to visualize and solve complex problems
• Experience illustrating, and/or directing the creation of graphics, iconography is a plus
• Ability to understand technical terminology in the graphic arts industry
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)

** MUST know how to draw, sketch, design for mixed media, digital design, photography deliverables and have a clean, modern design aesthetic**
