Graphic Designer

• Work closely with the Art Director, Art team and Design Director to define and drive the motion language and style for the overall products and user experiences
• Create fresh, performant, and compelling motion graphics and visual elements in a variety of styles and forms, mixing 2D, 2.5D and 3D techniques
• Use motion design to bring informational graphics, data and narrative concepts to life with clarity, impact and fun
• Actively contribute to and help drive the visual communication and brand identity needs of both the product/experience and the team, including logos, posters, presentations, etc.
• Provide creative and innovative solutions to complex visual and interaction problems that are easy to comprehend and implement
• Visual development: create sketches, storyboards, wireframes, pre-viz, walk-throughs or paper prototypes to communicate your design to the AD and the rest of the team
• Iterate in low fidelity to arrive at the best possible design then execute at increasingly high fidelity to create and deliver shipping quality visuals and content
• Always approach a challenge from multiple angles, and deliver a variety of solutions
• Actively participate in creative discussions and reviews, as part of effective communication with team members across disciplines
• Contribute in all phases of product development including hands-on crafting of experiences, designing and creating assets and visual elements
• Seek out and advocate best practices across the studio for creating premium high quality visuals and user experience design for the product
Primary Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in entertainment media and design with an emphasis on graphic design, motion-graphics, and some user interface visualization
• 4+ years of experience and proven commercial proficiency in mainstream, high-end 2D/3D package (Cinema4D/Maya/Softimage/ Modo /3DS Max) and Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
• Excellent 2D, 2.5D and 3D motion-graphics animation skills
• Strong editorial sense and command of timing, motion and visual narrative
• Expertise creating a variety of visual design documents including mood boards, storyboards, creative briefs, motion studies, and visual style guidelines
• Proactive problem solver
• Video editing and VFX/compositing experience (After Effects, Premiere, FinalCut)
• Meticulous sense of detail and ability to seek out simple solutions to complex design challenges
• Excellent professional communication, collaboration, time-management and organizational skills
• BA/BS in Graphic Design, Illustration, UI/UX , Digital Media Design & Production, or related field/discipline
Additional Qualifications:
• AE/Expressions, Flash/ActionScript or other scripting skills are a plus
• Experience with Windows design a plus
• Experience designing/creating UI/UX for mobile and tablets is a plus
