Graphic Designer / E-Learning

Our client, a government contractor, is seeking a creative, enthusiastic Graphic Designer to join our team of highly skilled professionals supporting a government agency in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in graphics and media development with asynchronous web-based courseware, live interactive web-based training, websites and portals, visual and technical style guides, marketing and communications presentation materials, brand identity, and print collateral. The media designed must be organized, methodical, and skilled with their development processes and standards. He/she must process exceptional customer service skills.

Additional information:

This candidate must have the ability to conduct a Federal Background Investigation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Designing web/e-learning interfaces
· Conceptualizing themes for projects
· Supporting graphic elements for web/e-learning pages and gaming and simulation environments
· Interpreting the client’s business needs and making changes based on client input to move projects forward
· Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and approaches to art deliverables
· Meeting and exceeding client expectations within cost and deadline constraints
· Multi-tasking across diverse projects
· Producing accurate and high quality work
· Keeping abreast of industry trends, particularly graphic design tools
· Communicating effectively with, and fully supporting, courseware project teams
· User interface design and development
· Interactive multimedia design and development
· Template development and improvement
· Digital capturing and editing of audio resources
· Marketing and communications presentation and material design
· Brand identify creation
· Print collateral design
· Strategic process improvement
· Expansion of team capabilities
Job Requirements :
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in relevant business area
· 6 years minimum professional experience in graphic arts
· 3 years minimum in-house design experience
· Experience developing learning related courseware
· Advanced skills in PhotoShop, Illustrator, and similar tools
· Experience in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Soundbooth
· Advanced skills in Freehand, Macromedia Flash, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint preferred
· Experience in 3-D Studio Max, Lightwave, Unreal editor, JSFL scripting, After Effects, Premiere, and InDesign a plus
· Ability to work under tight deadlines
· Self motivated
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Diverse Design Portfolio required; emphasis on graphics for web delivery (samples of GUI and related elements, decorative graphics, charts/graphs, buttons and skins, etc) pref
