We are currently seeking a strong Graphic Designer with Retail industry experience to be responsible for the design and production of graphic applications such as collateral material, brochures, advertisements, catalogs, direct mail, corporate identity, logo design, packaging, environmental graphics, and retail POS for several local clients. Works with designs that may integrate typographic, photographic, illustrative and graphic elements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for working with web applications and designs.
Collaborates with the marketing team to help advance brand look and feel
Responsible for design and integration of new brand directives
Executes new brochures, postcards and print pieces to support the marketing stream to increase engagement and conversion.
Obtains project specifications, keeps records of design and production process, and makes sure all projects are completed to their maximum potential.
Catalogs and files all materials in a logical and easily accessible manner. Ensures they are continuously up-to-date.
Determines size and arrangements of illustrative material and copy, selects style, color and type size, and arranges layout based upon available space and aesthetic design concepts.
Presents project concepts and drafts to marketing stakeholders for approval.
Designs range from single to multi color collateral projects.
Oversees asset management for design and marketing teams.
Art direction and set design for select Photo Shoots.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
At least 2-4 years of experience in computer-based graphic design.
Experience integrating campaigns with web or digital assets with a core competency in print.
Proven self-starter with the ability to commit to projects from beginning to completion.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities is necessary.
Candidate must be proactive with new ideas and willing to accept constructive feedback.
Open to working within brand-approved design specifications for illustrative material and copy, layout etc, and understands innovative work can impact and further direct the brand guidelines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Expert user in the Adobe Suite of products.
Experience in fitness, fashion or with lifestyle brands a plus.
Experience with post-production work a plus.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
