Graphic Designer - Agency

My client is in need of a Graphic Designer to create and implement effective visuals for their print and digital marketing materials. The candidate will work closely with their marketing and product teams to produce a wide range of design materials such as advertising, brochures and promotional materials. The candidate must have a good graphic sense and demonstrate a strong knowledge of best practices and industry-standard software. S/he should be able to operate with a high degree of autonomy, but be a clear, candid, and effective communicator in both spoken and written English. S/he should be motivated, reliable, thorough, and excited about developing visual materials with the potential to improve lives across a wide range of places and cultures.

Responsibilities Include

·       Develop entertaining, informative and engaging creative concepts to meet the objectives of our prospective partners

·       Develop outstanding designs — including animations, illustrations, and other graphics — for branded content on their sites and social channels

·       Work collaboratively across creative, marketing and sales departments to generate new ideas and formats to pitch our partners

·       Work with the Editorial Director and Senior Editor to develop best practices for RFPs and branded content production

·       Communicate with sales and marketing teams to ensure creative concepts are clear and meet editorial standards

·       Participate in key account sales meetings from a design perspective

·       Work closely with sales and account management teams to ensure that our partners’ needs are met

·       Build individual brand equity for each of their sites

·       Liaise with editorial to shape revenue generating custom ideas

 

Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications

·       Bachelor's Degree

·       At least eight 5 years’ experience at a creative agency or online publisher

·       A passion for advertising and graphic design — and the ability to effectively communicate that passion internally and to partners

·       Proficiency with Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

·       Strong sense of design, color and typography

·       A deep knowledge of the social web, including experience producing visual work for a variety of apps and social networks

·       Experience working closely with tech and/or product teams

·       Good understanding of video, both in a strategic and a production sense
