Vitamin T client is seeking a creative and passionate Graphic Designer to join a new start-up which aims to be the world’s premier destination for information about academic careers. We’re seeking a Graphic Designer, Print & Interactive with a passion for translating complex concepts into compelling images to be a key player in this new initiative. The successful candidate will be adept at traditional print design projects as well as infographics, motion graphics, and Web design, with a passion for higher education and social media. It is imperative that the Graphic Designer be a creative thought-leader, flexible and fluid, and be able to work under tight deadlines. This is a GREAT opportunity to be key player in the birth of a brand new digital initiative from its inception, while working for one of the most respected media organizations in the higher education community.

Job responsibilities include:
• Works closely with the CMO and Senior Manager, Acquisition and Retention in the conceptualization and design of marketing collateral for both print and Web
• Provides expert knowledge and recommends well-thought-out design solutions in collaboration with team members to achieve marketing objectives
• Provides creative support for variety of items including: print and digital brochures, newsletters, meeting and event materials, advertising, web banners, infographics, HTML documents, large screen animations and presentations.
• Participates in creative brainstorming meetings, contributing fresh ideas for new print and digital marketing materials
• Understands and remains up to date on all product lines, and business and editorial brand guidelines
Qualifications:
• Deep understanding of tools, current technology, trends and design principals and how they may apply in the higher education and/or social media space.
• Most possess a strong portfolio exhibiting strong design skills, typographic, creative and conceptual skills in print and digital mediums.
• Demonstrated expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, other design software.
• Proficient in After Effects, HTML5, and Flash (able to create animated graphics packages, open sequences, and animated title cards)
• Experience and comfort working both independently and in a team environment
• Able to interpret design concepts from outside agencies into strategic and compelling collateral materials
• Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, interactive design or equivalent.

Experience: 3-5years of in-house, agency, production, editorial, event experience or combination thereof.
