Graphic Artist / Illustrator

Provides production layout and design support to internal and external clients utilizing computer and manual layout skills. Produces and prepares art work, creative graphics, and technical illustrative materials for inclusion in proposals, technical manuals, product brochures, displays, presentations, slides, and other graphics applications. Works from general guidelines using considerable creative judgment regarding composition and media selections. Works from written as well as verbal direction. Utilizes a wide variety of graphics production equipment and supplies including personal computer and desktop publishing/graphics software. Works independently, may supervise staff, coach, and develop team members:May perform HR responsibilities and assist in hiring new team members. Develops original designs, layouts, and text as requested utilizing the Macintosh or personal computer. Works directly and indirectly with internal and external clients preparing materials for production of final product. May adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet special needs. Recommends methods and medium to convey the desired effect. Maintains and organizes files for easy retrieval and access to job information.Performs other duties as assigned. Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent and six or more years related work experience. Appropriate experience is preferred. Four year college degree is preferred.
