Global Platform Marketing Project Manager

Serve as the Global Platform Leader driving aggressive growth of one of the strategic Specialty Food Ingredients sectors. Set platform strategy to support growth of new and innovative ingredients and technologies.

This Global Leader will identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, launch novel innovative ingredients that address bold trends to meet the needs of tomorrow's consumers through improved ingredient profiles; and find ways to get additional growth out of existing technologies. This position works collaboratively with the other platform leaders, the marketing and market research team, the technical NPD team and the commercial business team in the Specialty Food Ingredients (SFI) division. Finally, the Global Leader will be responsible for the strategic pricing of all products (both new and existing) in the portfolio.


  • Lead the cross-functional Global Platform team, in partnership with the technical NPD platform lead
  • Set and ensure effective execution of the global platform strategy & prioritization of growth initiatives
  • Lead the global commercialization of New Products for the Platform up to the point of market launch; ensure effective execution of the project plans
  • Create a prioritized and sustainable high value pipeline of innovative new concepts and products ? rooted in an understanding of customer and consumer needs and technology opportunities
  • Develop and drive global pricing strategies to maximize profitability
  • In conjunction with the Open Innovation Team, develop & maintain relationships with 3rd parties to drive innovation
  • Ensure clear communication & alignment between ICD and the SFI business line.
  • Ensure knowledge and learning is captured, retained and shared within the team & with other platform teams
  • Develop world class teams and processes

  • Value and progression of a robust innovation pipeline of projects aimed at growth. Measures include 1) financial contribution of new products 2) future launch projections and 3) pipeline size
  • Increased value to the organization through annual pricing strategies and help deliver expected value


    Lead the Global Platform Team. Ensure knowledge and learning is captured, retained and shared within the team & with other NPD teams. This individual will bridge the gap between the technical and commercial worlds.

  • Past performance indicates aptitude for strategic thinking and project management
  • Track record of driving execution through working with cross-functional peers
  • Proven ability to drive revenue generating projects and launch new businesses or products
  • In-depth technical understanding of food ingredients and food applications; Some previous direct commercial experience required
  • Strong analytical skill with a proven ability to convert disparate information sources into meaningful insights
  • Possesses great interpersonal skills and personal presence
  • Influence skills
  • Exhibits high level of integrity, work ethic, and dedication to safety
  • 7+ years experience in marketing/product/portfolio management at a major Food CPG, with multinational and pricing responsibility
  • Familiarity working closely with R&D and/or on M&A highly valued
  • Bachelors level degree; MBA or equivalent preferred
