Global Marketing Manager - Mountain View

GLOBAL MARKETING MANAGER

Are you passionate about consumer marketing? Are you excited about enabling our clients success in emerging markets? In this role, you will be instrumental in driving member growth and engagement for one of our clients emerging markets. The Global Marketing Manager role requires an audience-centric marketer with sharp social editorial and writing skills. Your keen instincts translate trends into actionable consumer marketing copy. To achieve success, you will possess the ability to work independently and also foster collaborative partnerships that drive results through targeted marketing communications with high-quality, compelling, and culturally relevant creative and messaging.


Examples of responsibilities are as follows:

• Play a key role in shaping strategic marketing communications in partnership with a large cross-functional team involving Product Marketing, International Product, Localization, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Editorial, Global Customer Operations, and Regional Heads (APAC and EMEA)
• Establish a social editorial calendar and develop high-quality, brand-aligned content for distribution across multiple channels; own and operate market-specific social channels
• Lead development and deployment of social media campaigns that drive business objectives in region; devise messaging for integrated marketing campaigns to ensure consistency
• Activate the new member narrative with market-specific campaigns and programs; ensure cohesion and cultural relevance of visual design and messaging for all creative executions

Requirements:
• BA or BS in Chinese Studies, Communications, Marketing, or related field
• Fluent in Mandarin with ability to read and write both simplified and traditional Chinese
• Strong experience with Project and Program Management
• 4-6 years experience working in digital marketing and/or at an Internet Company with 1-2 years social and social monitoring tools
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Quick learner who has the ability to problem solve independently
• Ability to positively influence outcomes and organizational success
• Experience working with internal cross-functional partners and external agency partners developing winning creative expression
• Proven marketing communications expertise including facility with digital and social channels; master of the marketing mix
• Strong results-orientation in high growth, fast-paced environments
• Experience working across geographic boundaries, global marketing experience a plus
• Requires some international travel
