A major Fortune 500 company in the Austin area is looking for a new Global Events Marketing Coordinator

Marketing Coordinator, Events
Assist and support with the development of global events programs to promote client's products and services.

Position Description:
Perform general office and administrative support duties to Global Events director and team. Support all areas of event program including operations, reporting, web and communications deliverables. Coordinates and schedules team site inspections and planning sessions. Works on special projects as assigned by the department. Proficient in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Assist with the management of meetings and events through the implementation of strategy, delivery of objectives and execution of logistics, while effectively working with internal and external partners. Support coordination of all program planning from pre-contract execution to final billing. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

• Prior experience in meeting/event planning or hotel catering, convention, sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
• Academic credentials desired

• Technology savvy in the areas of Mobile application and social media platforms.
• Hands on experience building websites utilizing various web design technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Dreamweaver and Photoshop) with abilities to write, contribute and proof copy.
