Global Accessories Designer

Fortune 500 Retail brand has a need for a Product Designer to join their team in the Accessories line. This is a great opportunity to get in with a TOP Brand in the retail!

Manager is looking for an Accessories Designer, so the need is someone with accessories experience.

- Designing in bags (Men's and Women's)
- Working with leather
- Designing wallets and belts is a plus
- Working with woven fabrication would be great also

Manager would prefer someone who has a Design degree in Apparel / Accessories and has at least 3-5 years experience.'

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare sketches of ideas, detailed drawings, illustrations, artwork, paints and brushes, or computer-aided design equipment.
- Modify and refine designs, using working models, to conform with customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends.
- Coordinate the look and function of product lines.
- Confer with engineering, marketing, production, or sales departments, or with customers, to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products.

The candidates also need to have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).

Skills and Competencies:

- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability.
- Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production.
- Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images - preferred.
- Experience with Adobe imaging software (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop)

Also, this will start as a 3+ months contract role but has the potential to become permanent with the company.
