Games Console Senior Graphic Designer

One of the major game console companies is looking for a Senior Designer to manage their design team for its Europe, Middle East and Africa markets. The role is based in Reading and they are willing to pay inbetween 35-50K. This position is a rolling contract.

Job Mission:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer to lead the design and creative execution of the game console's promotions, across EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) regions.
You will be working with a team of Dashboard Producers and will be responsible for developing a wide variety of promotional designs, building appropriate graphics & experiences and ensuring the user experience meets the highest bar for quality and consistency.

Key areas of responsibility:
Reporting to the Executive Producer, you will lead the client's Dashboard Design team.
• Conceptualize, design, develop, execute and animate design projects for the game console.
• Develop conceptual strategies and implement graphic programs for various promo campaigns: game launches, seasonal promotions, special events, franchise packaging and channel and branding initiatives.
• Maintain quality/brand control for all elements created by the Design Department.
• Position requires designer to work in Reading, Berkshire.

Experience and Professional Qualification Requirements:
Essential:
• Candidates must send a portfolio or work samples along with their application. Please indicate your specific roles and contributions for each project submitted as part of the portfolio
• Bachelors or higher degree in Graphic Design
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working at an agency, game studio or broadcast design agency or similar
• Proven working knowledge in creating content for multiple audience types, preferably in the entertainment industry
• Expertise in standard design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, CS4/CS5
• Design style/sensibilities must be current, forward thinking and audience-aware
• Demonstrated mastery of typography, image editing and interactive modeling
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Self-directed with excellent organizational abilities
• Understands regional/cultural sensitivities around design executions
