Game Artist

Our client is a Fortune 500 company located in Irvine California and is looking for an amazing Game Artist to join their team who is creative, hard-working, and excited about contributing to the project!

The Job
You will work in house on animation assignments for a video game. You will gather reference materials to do the animations, submit the animations, the manager will review them, they will be integrated into the game, then they will be reviewed again. If they pass the final review, you will move onto the next assignment. You will need to push for the highest standards, be trustworthy, and feel comfortable with customer obsession.


The Game
The game is a combat/adventure type game, so it requires high fidelity animation that is realistic to reality. Experience with this type of game animation will be preferred.

Experience, Qualifications, and Expectations
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an animator for games
- At least one credit for a game on PC or console platforms
- Maya or 3ds Max knowledge
- Solid skills in ancillary animation, MotionBuilder
- Skills in Illustration, painting, technical art
- Solid understanding of pose-driven animation design
- Deep understanding and skill in 3D keyframe animation
- Must bring a cinematic eye to convey emotion, weight and momentum in gameplay and cinematic's
- Drives technical innovation in character tech through motion design
- Enjoys collaborating with design and art teams to deliver great gameplay and storytelling experiences
- Appreciates all styles of animation and the desire to pitch in and learn new styles and skills
- Always insists on the highest standards personally and from the rest of the team
- Exceptional communication skills and strong collaborative spirit
- More than an animator – appreciates art in all its forms
- Knowledgeable about game industry trend
