The Graphic Designer works within the internal Creative Services department (internal agency) of a major consumer packaged goods and products division - servicing internal clients as well as external partners and vendors.
This person delivers creative concept, design and execution of both print and digital projects. Print projects include point-of-purchase, promotions, sales collateral and advertisements, tradeshows, motorsports events, and in-store environmental. Digital and interactive projects include: email design, landing pages, banner ads, promotional sites, product extranet sites, and intranet/sales support sites.
The Graphic Designer is responsible to:
Act as an advisor. Gathers information on communication objectives, audience, budget and deadlines and then works to achieve maximum results of each. Effectively represents creative in meetings and one-on-one with Project Managers and clients. The Graphic Designer exhibits superior presentation and analytical skills.
Conceptualize creative solutions that effectively communicate the strategic intent within the assigned product(s) including concept, design and development. Responsible for reviewing new print projects, designing comps, gaining approvals and then producing final print-ready deliverables.
Act as brand steward for company's products and brands. Develops and/or adheres to brand identity systems and graphics standards guidelines.
Allocates time wisely and effectively in order to meet all deadlines. Consistently utilizes web-based tools for project management, scheduling and archiving.
Ability to work in a high volume project environment with multiple concurrent deadlines. Partners with Project Managers in order to effectively meet client needs.
5+ years experience in the commercial art field (preferably a mix of both agency and corporate experience). Degree in Advertising, Design or similar is preferred
Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (emphasis on InDesign and Photoshop)
Must have a good knowledge of various print processes such as offset, screen, flexographic and digital printing
Must have a working knowledge of interactive design process design, development, and hosting
