OUR FORTUNE 500 RETAIL CLIENT IS IN NEED OF A GRAPHIC DESIGNER TO JOIN THE CREATIVE TEAM TO FOCUS ON IN-STORE SIGNAGE, PRINT AND 3D PRODUCTION!

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Design retail and marketing creative assets, such as; retail floor sets and visual merchandising elements, logos, visual centers/style guides, signage/navigation, presentations, invitations, packaging, look books, photographic inspiration packages, collateral materials.

• Ensure a strong, recognizable and relevant visual look for the brand is communicated and executed across all assets and is consistent with the Levi’s brand identity
• Take direction from Art Director leads and execute per that direction, while also providing additional options that offer a unique point of view to answer creative brief. Ensure all assets produced have been approved by Art Directors
• Adapt and version existing creative materials for production delivery
• Have an acute understanding of the Visual Merchandising world with specific knowledge of retail/fashion/apparel
• Collaborate with creative partners to develop concepts and strategic design ideas that can be effectively executed
• Work with the Visual Design team and communicate the merchandising requirements
• Attend and participate in creative meetings and status, capture your actions and complete follow-up tasks
• Represent as the design lead in cross-functional partner meetings and report back to the Art Director as needed
• Familiarize yourself with Levi’s brand intelligence and creative in order to make informed and relevant decisions
• Follow-up on open action items or escalate items with Art Directors as necessary
• Ability to manage multiple projects, managing your own workload to meet defined deadlines and communicate out your capabilities when resetting of expectations is required
• Researching inspiration, photographers, artist materials and pulling inspiration and considerations of concepts
• Basic compositing and retouching
• Maintain organized archive of art files
• Demonstrates global cultural awareness with regard to content crossing global borders

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Design Communications, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Graphic Design or relevant in-house agency – retail, apparel and digital brand experience
• Creative thinker showcasing their experience and creative samples with a visual portfolio or website
• Exposure to events or experiential marketing and/or 3D spaces
• Expert level in all Adobe programs including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, AcrobatPro and In-Design
• Maintain a strong passion for excellence in graphic design, typography and color
• Understanding of Print Production: knowledge of printing procedures, specifications, requirements, plus experience with preparing and optimizing mechanical files for various types of printing
• Be detailed oriented and well organized with strong production skills
• Excellent grammatical skills and communications skills with ability to convey complex concepts concisely to all audiences
• Strong knowledge of typographical principles, layout and an innate sense of style
• Self-motivator and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
• Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently under multiple, occasionally competing deadlines

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
• Illustration and line drawing/drafting highly regarded
• Experienced presenting work in a meeting environment
• Flexible in responding to changes in business priorities
