GLOBAL VISUAL MERCHANDISING MANAGER, BOUTIQUES

The Manger of Visual Merchandising develops creative and inspiring visual displays, merchandising strategies and presentations that support the goals and business objectives of each season and/or product launch. He or she will work collaboratively with marketing, product development and creative teams on execution plans. The Manager must be a strong leader with the ability to articulate their point of view with confidence. He or she must have a strong understanding of the international competitive landscape and be able to interpret appropriate trends as they relate to the beauty business. This position reports to the Global Director of Visual Merchandising.



Primary Responsibilities
• Manage visual merchandising process for global boutiques and department stores.
• Create innovative and compelling presentations that support the business objectives.
• Build effective and constructive relationships with business partners, and international teams for collaboration.
• Prioritize workload and determine additional efficiencies within the department.
• Manage and oversee the production of the global visual directives for boutiques, department stores, and updates.
• Partner with all international teams to ensure all Market needs and requirements are met.
• Partner with Project Managers on propping elements and/or marketing elements.
• Identify new fixture and creative display opportunities as needed.
• Train and collaborate with each Market to develop appropriate Visual Merchandising tools, directives and presentations that support global consistency.

• Comfortable presenting and working with various levels of management.
• Must have strong attention to detail and excellent follow through.
• Flexible, open-minded, and eager to find new and creative ways to improve processes.
• Be aware of current trends and activities in design, fashion and culture Understand a company's target markets and know how to appeal to them

Job Qualifications
• Position based in San Francisco head office
• Minimum five years retail visual merchandising and display experience.
• Comfortable presenting and working with various levels of management..
• Proficient on a Mac platform, with working knowledge of Adobe CS3 or up. Programs also include: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, In design, Illustrator, Photoshop
• Professional degree preferred (BA or BS)
• Some travel required.
