Full-Stack Developer

This is a long-term contract opportunity with offsite flexibility. Must be local to the area and available to be onsite at least two days a week.

Summary:
We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to provide UI coding support for Client’s web presence. This work involves coding, testing, and debugging for the web presentation layer using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

The ideal candidate will not only have solid technical skills, but will also:
• Be a strong communicator
• Have great collaboration skills
• Enjoy learning new technologies and processes

Responsibilities:
• Development for production and/or prototyping, including:
• Manually coding, testing, and debugging HTML, CSS, and Javascript according to internal standards, guidelines and in accordance with industry best practices
• Translating visual designs into completed HTML pages while adhering to design specifications
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and compliance with accessibility guidelines
• Collaboration with technical writer/editors, user experience designers, application developers, and/or project managers on project work
• Explaining technical concepts and constraints to non-technical team members

Minimum Qualifications:
• Proficiency in hand coded HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Solid understanding of cross browser compatibilities
• Experience in front end development infrastructure and frameworks such as JQuery, SASS, Bootstrap, Git, Bower, and Angular
• Accuracy, reliability, and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work with little supervision, with tight timelines and with competing priorities
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Expertise in HTML5 & CSS3
• Expertise with Responsive Web Design techniques and concepts (Bootstrap, Bourbon)
• Familiarity with coding for accessibility (WCAG 2.0)
• Experience with TeamSite or other enterprise content management systems
• Experience with Agile and/or Lean UX
• Ability to cross-train and mentor

Education/Experience:
• 4-year degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience desired
