Front End Developer (temp to perm)

We’re working with an Education industry client to find a Front End Developer to join their team! In this role, you’ll work with the Interactive teams to produce rich, compelling marketing web properties that drive inquiries and convert them to students.

Start Date: As soon as the right candidate is found
Duration: Temp to perm
Location: Onsite at client’s office in Pittsburgh

This role connects conceptual design to production websites through front-end coding and preparation of assets for the web development team. The Front End Developer must have a solid understanding of, and experience with the entire web development life cycle. This role works closely with visual designers, web developers, Interactive strategy teams, user experience, and brand managers to insure quality and persuasive deliverables.

-Take conceptual website designs and translate to production-ready, pixel-perfect, cross-browser-compatible HTML/CSS and Javascript code
-Remain current with, and have a thorough understanding of the latest multimedia and front-end technology tools and trends (including HTML5/CSS3, JQuery and responsive design)
-Research new trends in front-end development and reports findings to the team
-Assist with maintenance of marketing websites
-Adhere to and advance Interactive team understanding of interactive marketing and user experience best practices
-Actively participate in Interactive’s strategy teams
-Coordinate on multiple projects, including producing high-quality work under tight deadlines

-Deep knowledge of front-end languages and advanced, new and upcoming technologies and tools
-Bachelor’s Degree in web design (focus on front-end development) interactive media, or a related field required
-Minimum 2 years experience of front-end programming experience.
-Thorough knowledge of industry-standard software such as Photoshop and Visual Studio
-Demonstrated experience with a variety of web development, design, and web content maintenance tools for a variety of media
-Strong front-end web development skills: HTML, CSS, Javascript; HTML5/CSS3 and JQuery a plus. (No back-end development required.)
-Experience working in .NET environment a plus
-Experience with coding for mobile devices huge plus
-Knowledge of SEO & SEM
-Strong understanding of information design and the topology of information for the web
-Full understanding of browser/platform constraints
-Excellent communication skills
-Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills.
-Sense of humor appreciated.
-Must be a team player.
-Strong customer service orientation.

-Pixel-precision and compulsive attention to detail.
-Ability to interact effectively as a team member and work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
-Ability to listen to customers (e.g. staff), understand their requests and respond positively.
-Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
-Productive, reliable self-starter.
