Map Project Brief =
We're working on a page for a client's education website that we’re building.

This page needs to have a U.S. map in which each state is color coded based on some data that is produced in a different section within the page. When the data changes, the colors need to change (it's a discrete relationship, nothing fancy).

Also, when a state is clicked, it changes to a totally different color and triggers a filtering function in a different part of the page. The data changes based on filters - there is a lightweight info vis below the map, and people can filter the data in the vis.

It's an education site - the state colors vary from, say, light purple to deep blue depending on the number of students in each state. And if a user clicks a filter by a particular major (finance, engineering, etc.) the # of students per state change - so the data driving the colors in the map changes, and so the map colors need to change as well.

We will handle providing all the data and filtering - just need someone who can do animation code as described above.
