Front End Developer

We’re looking for an awesome web developer for a well known Boston hospital for a full time, temp to perm role.

The ideal candidate should be able to quickly hand-code clean HTML and CSS from Comps and Wireframes. You would be reporting to the Director of Front End Development but would also be working in their creative department.

You will be responsible for front-end development and client-side interactions using HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, RSS, JavaScript, and other related interactive technologies. In this role, you would also get a chance to provide recommendations on best technologies and best practices.

YOU WOULD:
• Generate and maintain front-end code (HTML / CSS / JavaScript)

• Develop new and effective interactive design solutions on time and in scope.

• Collaborate with creative UX team to deliver on new business initiatives and platform enhancements.

• Research and recommend appropriate interactive technologies and best practices

• Develop reusable code libraries for the department

• Conduct code walkthroughs and quality assurance with development teams

• Develop web accessible and browser compatibility code

MUST HAVE:

- this Client is only considering candidates with a portfolio or samples of work

• a minimum of 5+ years experience with HTML, CSS, XML, RSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and other related interactive technologies.

• Proficient in JavaScript / Dojo / jQuery

• Proficient with Adobe Photoshop

• Basic understanding of interaction design and user-centered design methods & practices

• Professional experience collaborating with design and development teams on large-scale projects.

• Excellent oral communication skills.

• Organized, self-directed, efficient and able to manage complex projects in a timely manner. We work on a fast, but exciting pace!

• Ability to create clean, precise browser-compatible code.

• Experience working with the Agile development methodology

NICE TO HAVE:
• at least 1+ years experience in e-commerce, retail merchandising/marketing, advertising, product development, e-commerce or related fields.

• Experience Web Accessibility Standards a plus.

• Experience with BoradVision, JSP, Swing, Struts would be a great asset but not necessarily required.

• Degree in Marketing, Visual Communication, Graphic Arts, Computer Science or related area a plus.
