Our client is the 3rd largest Internet retailer in the Washington, DC area and ranks #183 in the list of "500 Largest Internet Retail Websites" published by Internet Retailer magazine, they are also known as one of the fastest-growing companies in America.

ROLE:
Seeking a detail-oriented and creative HTML5/CSS3 developer to hand code and maintain web pages. You should have experience in responsive design and value the importance of creating fantastic online, experiences for customers and site visitors alike. You should also understand the impact that the quality and technical accuracy of your work has on the overall experience. The Front End Developer will join the Ecommerce team and report to the Site Experience Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Front End Developer will be responsible for production, modification, and prototyping on the website. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with your team and channel managers to fulfill project requirements. Secondarily, you will help evolve the site experience through researching, testing, and implementing evolving front-end development techniques for both desktop and mobile.

Qualifications:
· Knowing what it takes to deliver fast load times with techniques such as asynchronous loading.
· Knowing how to build mobile responsive pages.
· Always structure page builds to ensure the ability to re-factor as needs change.
· Familiar with the Box Model.
· Know what “This” is, in relation to a jQuery callback
· Understand that ‘deploy power’ comes with great responsibility, and you love that it requires an eye for detail.
· Understand the nature of web traffic and the importance of flexibility and willingness to be available to push new content in the evenings, early mornings, and even at times on weekends.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
· Online portfolio – Examples of your work and HTML code
· Hand-coding web pages from pixel-perfect mock-ups for multiple browsers using web standards and HTML5 and CSS3
· JavaScript programming skills & knowledge of JavaScript frameworks to create rich interactive content
· Fluency in jQuery
· Building mobile experiences (mobile-first & responsive design)
· Maintaining and building HTML Email templates
· Coding html templates for content management systems
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite & optimizing graphic files
· Troubleshooting HTML/CSS rendering problems
