Front End Developer

Vitamin T is looking for a Front End Developer for a contract-to-hire role with one of our fast-growing clients! We are looking for a Senior Front End Developer with expert level JavaScript and high energy! The ability to drive the development of complex projects from design to development and test is critical.

Responsibilities:
• Develop awesome features within web based applications
• Code, test, document and deliver features with cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and search engine optimization
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA and other engineers to enhance existing UI
• Participate in agile development process, including scoping, detailed design, effort estimation, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, maintenance and support

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of consumer-facing web front end development experience
• Expertise with jQuery and jQuery UI and able to write plug-ins
• Expertise in writing elegant, cross-browser HTML/CSS/JavaScript with an attention to detail, scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Proficient in DOM and AJAX / Web 2.0 programming
• Proficient with RESTful API structure
• Front end debugging experience using tools like Firebug/Chrome dev tools
• Knowledge of latest open standards such as CSS3 and HTML5
• Able to provide current JavaScript coding examples
• Ability to decompose complex problems into manageable units of work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – should be able to work closely with different teams – Front-end counterparts, QA, Product Management, Operations, Release Engineering, etc.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field

Nice-to-haves:
• Familiar with CMS tools such as Kentico
• Experience developing on the ASP.NET Framework in C#
• understanding of advanced ASP.NET and C# development techniques and capabilities (AJAX, Javascript & JQuery, CSS, generics, async methods, delegates, lambda syntax)
• Understanding of the usage of Session State and Viewstate within ASP.NETapplication
