Front End Developer

Job Summary:

The primary function of the Front-End Website Developer is to create, gather and edit content for companies’ websites to further extend the brand position. This position spearheads web and multimedia initiatives. Examples of projects include email blasts, developing and updating new web content and developing strategies to enhance client’s web presence, both internal and external.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Detail oriented and able to multi-task multiple projects at one time is a must
• Update web content, such as: tool specifications, promotional offers, racing results, events, truck events and soccer calendar, as needed
• Create web pages using the latest Visual Studio software and Flash
• Create HTML-rich emails and manage lists of recipients
• Collaborate with web designers, programmers and division managers to compose web pages with relevant graphics and content
• Create wireframes and layouts to enhance web presentation of tool specifications, promotional offers and sponsorship information
• Promoting web traffic to the website with SEO (search engine optimization), planning and creating ads to appear on other sites that link web users to our website
• Monitor references and links to our website to ensure the brand is being upheld
• Manage & Create email blasts

Education, Skills and/or Experience Needed:

• An understanding the requirements of website development
• Web 2.0 standards with cross browser compliance
• Able to hand code HTML/CSS files
• Understand how to design pages for multiple browsers and screen sizes
• Ability to collaborate with graphic designer and programmer to create database-driven and static web pages
• ASP.NET (C#) .NET Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5
• Knowledge of AJAX (frameworks like JQuery, ASP.NET AJAX)
• Familiarity with Photoshop, Javascript, XML, Flash & FTP tools
• SQL Server 2005 (Stored Procedures, Relational Database Design)

Language Skills:

• Excellent written, verbal and spelling skills in English
• Ability to effectively communicate through all channels. Ability to participate and contribute in group environments while presenting and answering questions.
