Our client who was recently named one of the top companies to work for in Seattle, has a new opening for a Senior Front End Web Developer. This is a mobile media company that partners with top media brands (NBC, Motor Trend, Popular Science, others) and major advertisers (American Express, Ford, Mercedes, many more) to provide integrated content and brand experiences.

We are looking for an experienced front end web developer with extremely strong HTML/CSS skills. As a member of a small & nimble mobile web development team, you'll work collaboratively with a team of artists/devs to create elegant, efficient, maintainable, and responsive mobile sites, applications, and tools. This position requires writing HTML using templates in Ruby on Rails, so a basic knowledge of Ruby objects and how to display and format them is a plus.

The ideal candidate would also be able to assume responsibility for front end development using JavaScript, mobile WebKit and Ajax-based technologies.
While this position offers a wide variety of interesting work items, the company’s core offering is around mobile technologies, so candidates must have a fluency with and passion for current-generation mobile devices, technologies, and browser standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build front ends for specific mobile applications
• Create templates and platform tools
• Produce mobile advertising
• Periodic ideation and engineering our corporate website and online product gallery
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Expert level JavaScript as well as other client-side technologies
• Excellent communication skills working with a wide variety of stakeholders, including design, test, and project management
• Expert level HTML5 and CSS, specifically translating rich visual designs to HTML and CSS using templating technologies
• Professional software development experience (including but not limited to participation in the SDLC, version control and build practices, development environments, and working in the context of server-side web application frameworks)
• Experience with object oriented programming
• Ruby on Rails experience a plus
• At least 4 years of industry experience, preferably working at a consumer oriented web/mobile company.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and/or equal industry experience
• Familiarity with debugging web technologies on the iOS and Android platforms
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally; ability to exercise judgment and flexibility in balancing program requirements, milestones, and keeping people and projects moving on schedule
• Demonstrated ability to quickly build positive team relationships
• Passion for / awareness of mobile & device industry trends
