Our client are a leading tech brand based in Reading that work across a huge range of sectors and projects, from cutting edge computer tech and robotics to auto-drive car systems! They are currently seeking a pro-active freelance Integrated Designer (ideally with a slightly more digital focus) to join them for 6 months initially, with the potential to extend further. They are currently building a pool of freelance designers they can call on for projects so if you're unavailable for the time being but still interested in the position, please do still get in touch.
On a day-to-day basis, these candidates would be working across a huge range of design, from every day events printed collateral to branding for a new product to responsive web and polished Augmented and Virtual Reality apps! They have a very fast paced environment and, although in-house, act almost like a creative agency as the work is incredibly varied and partnering for some of the biggest names in tech and automotive.
They currently have a few Senior designers on site so would initially be looking for candidates at a more mid-weight (or potentially an experienced Junior) level, to come in and help with churning out the collateral and artwork at first - with the possibility to get involved with the larger projects if extended or re-booked in the future.
Skills & Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe design suite software.
- A portfolio showing a mix of print and digital work.
- Ideally have agency experience or client-side when working with lots of different accounts.
- Excellent artworking skills as well as design (they always follow through to artwork).
- After Effects or Cinema 4D would be a huge bonus.
In addition to skills and experience, they have a very social culture and encourage a work-hard/ play-hard attitude. So although the work load can be pretty intense at times, they love to integrate every creative that joins them and involve them in social out of work activities.
In regards to location, if you live in central London with easy access to Paddington station, there is a 25 minute fast train to Reading from there and then a 15 minute bus journey on the other end (which pulls up just outside their office campus).
They do have plenty of parking though so if driving is an option that would be best! They have said they would ideally like candidates to be fairly local or with a reasonable commute as this is a long term stint and they don't want a lengthy commute to become to much and cut the contract short.
If you tick these boxes, please send your CV and portfolio through to Holly at Aquent.
Please note, due to a high volume of applications, we may only be able to respond if your CV has been shortlisted.
