Flyknit Engineering Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in the generation of product documentation as needed:
  • Machine setup, bobbin layouts, sample build instructions, etc…
  • Includes capturing all images and videos required to effectively communicate intent
  • Coordinate regular reviews of the documentation with Knit Engineers, Programmers and Leads
  • Coordinate the sample build process thru the Knit Operations and Builder Lab:
  • Identifying color ways required at each stage
  • Coordination of the resources:
  • OPS, builder lab
  • Jigs (fabrication), steaming, patterns (fabrication), shipping to PCC/KC’s
  • Setup data collection files and perform all data collection efforts
  • Confirm all data is collected per BP’s and is accurate
  • Perform engineering studies that supports product development and specifically pattern and jig designs
  • Active participant in project management and prioritization conversations
  • Monitor, evaluate and document sample builds - Support Knit Engineers and Leads by reporting issues and/or elevating concerns as needed
  • Coordinate testing/validation of new materials and swatches thru M&M Lab
  • Data collection and analysis of samples built at each key gate and date
  • Loading Tech Pack documentation into Watchdox at all gates as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design or related field
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in Engineering or Design in lieu of a degree
  • 1 years of engineering work experience or internship preferred,
  • Experience in textiles or soft goods manufacturing is a bonus
  • Strong Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Analysis skills
  • Proficient with CAD programs such as Adobe Illustrator or other technical design software
  • Experience with 2D CNC cutting machinery preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined and capable of working “hands-on” with complex manufacturing machines in a high paced manufacturing environment.
