Financial Services Marketing Specialist

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is looking for a Marketing Specialist with proven experience developing strategies and managing the execution of B2B financial services campaigns.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborates and partners with internal business lines and external industry partners to develop marketing strategies and plans for our efforts to increase the utilization of our client's mutual funds in defined contribution plans.
• Researches, evaluates, and proposes new marketing avenues and tools.
• Builds the business case, writes the project brief, forms the project team, executes the project, evaluates the results, and makes recommendations based on analysis.
• Recommends activities for communicating with customers to make them aware of key promotional and service developments.
• Helps to facilitate plan development meetings. Provides the cross functional teams of the organization with customer based insights and channel recommendations that meet our customer needs and helps shape the final plan design: writers, designers, marketing research, senior business leaders, and/or the sales team.
• Analyzes the span of marketing activities and overall impact of a plan to determine effectiveness and recommends changes for future plans.
• Consult with business line leaders on the implications of new product launches or initiatives.
• Partners with the marketing research team to develop a body of knowledge that includes current and potential market trends, profiles of target customers and key intermediaries, and competitor practices.
• Analyzes research in partnership with the marketing research team to develop insights and recommendations regarding the strategic direction of marketing programs and practices.
• Tracks current and forecasted marketing initiatives.
• Contributes to marketing strategy planning meetings by providing knowledge of the market place and analysis of current and potential marketing plans.
• Develops and leverages relationships when creating, implementing, and evaluating marketing plans.
• Responsible for building collaborative relationships across the organization to help achieve the defined contribution business marketing goals.

Requirements:
• Minimum five years of marketing experience.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices. Exhibits knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the department/business area.
• Ability to lead and manage projects across multiple teams or groups.
• Demonstrates initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions.
• Experience representing a breadth of enterprise products/services and implementing marketing communications directly with customers and in some cases through customer channels.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Financial services marketing / DC category experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, MBA a plus.
