Financial Marketing Communications Consultant

Our client, a large asset management organization, is hiring for a long term freelance Marketing Communications Consultant.
Qualified candidates for this role will have extensive experience in Marketing Communications within the financial services industry, preferably asset management.

The primary purpose of this position is to create marketing copy that is highly compelling, fund specific, and written for a digital world. The candidate will perform a wide variety of functions, including writing custom marketing materials for financial advisors and investors. The ideal candidate will need to possess a highly developed promotional writing background with a unique ability to create attention grabbing headlines. The candidate should have knowledge of, and experience in writing for the defined contribution market. This position is mission-critical to our client's organization, and the right candidate must be able to demonstrate his or her careful scrutiny for spelling, language usage, grammar, and other inconsistencies as well as experience working with brand voice and internal style guidelines. This position will help promote the the organization's visibility and reputation by:

• Focusing on supporting and enhancing the Fund Managements Group’s investment reputation and brand visibility (with a focus on message consistency and client experience) through development and editorial support of brochures, sales flyers, direct mail materials, web copy, and newsletters
• Representing the Marketing Communications team on internal kick-off and product meetings, acting as an ambassador, providing a constant flow of information, and moving jobs through the review process
• Working with key partners at all levels of the organization to produce and project manage board communications, product/service alerts, client letters, proxy wrappers, and other materials as needed
• Providing backup to other marketing communication team members on complex writing projects
• Communicating actively with Marketing Communications manager and team members to foster effective work relationships and strong processes
• Fostering solid relationships with Communications team partners; collaborate on all new initiatives, exchange ideas and best practices
• Effectively work with legal, compliance, product, sales and marketing
