Financial Analyst

This highly visible position at this global electronics company is responsible for assisting the Field Sales Support Operation team with managing the following areas:
• Labor for retail stores & 3rd party retailers in North America
o Responsibilities include direct store level staffing report generation, analyzing 3rd party labor usage, managing 3rd party labor vendor invoices, and assisting in the design of a new labor/payroll model.
• Field Communications
o Responsibilities include aggregating field feedback, creating an executive summary, and consolidating weekly audit reports. This position is also responsible for providing strategic and analytical support for various ad-hoc initiatives, as well as proactively identifying opportunities along with recommendations. This position reports directly to the Manager of Communications, and indirectly to the Sr. Manager of Sales Operations & Manager of Operations Solutions. The position frequently interacts with headquarters, field upper leadership, and 3rd party vendors. Description of Responsibilities:
• Own weekly responsibilities: hindsight reporting, preparing and delivering of store level staffing reports, aggregating audit & escalation field data.
• Assists in the development of strategy and provide analytical support for projects in a constantly changing business environment.
• Identify key drivers of risk and opportunity and proactively develop recommendations to mitigate risk or capture opportunities.
• Support operational initiatives to optimize field execution in market.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must have strong technical skills and the ability to learn, troubleshoot and own/manage highly complicated models. Must be extremely proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP, Kronos, and other data sources a plus. Strong technical aptitude including the ability to learn company systems and tools.
• Experience with Access and other reporting databases a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration or equivalent highly preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail Finance and/or Operations experience preferred. Field Experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with other groups, as necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to fully own and manage multiple tasks/projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment.
• Must be highly detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into a cohesive framework.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Desire to provide excellent customer service

Ideal person will be familiar with numbers and skilled in Excel. Emphasis is operational numbers versus pure accounting/finance but - Retail Operations experience would be greatly preferred - Communications experience would also be desired

This is a 6-9 month assignment.
