Finance Project Manager

The nature of the work is focused on defining tools and processes to support overall organizational excellence in program/project management and process definition.

Schedule/Plan Management: Facilitation of project work breakdown sessions. Ensures project schedule is maintained and collect key project metrics and review health/progress indicators.
Communications Management: Execute project communication plan (internal and external) and provides status communications and project health/metrics reporting.
Cost Management: Manages project cost estimates; compiles project budget data based on actual, versus forecast hours for accounting purposes.
Project Risk Management: Defines risk management plan, analyzes risk for criticality, probability, and impact. Develops risk mitigation strategies, assigns owner and actions.

This PM will manage a strategic business initiative; this is not a Technology project.

Skills:
Experience in working with a formal project mngt methodology.
Must be a spreadsheet master, and have deep Finance Project Management experience.
Strong Finance Business acumen is required.
Desire and proven ability to create fluid systems for breaking down and managing project finances.
Full understanding/experience in project lifecycle, logistics, and forecasting.

Education:
Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 8 or 9 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 6 yrs; Masters + 7 yrs; Associates degree + 9 yrs; High School + 10 yrs. project mngt certification.
