PAY: $40 - $45/HOUR

** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL FABRIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WITH DENIM EXPERIENCE **

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversees fabric development for both denim and non-denim
• Works directly with leaders in Men’s Design, Product Development and Merchandising to understand, interpret and execute key seasonal fabric developments that meet aesthetic requirements and are in line with sourcing and strategy target costs
• Drives newness and innovation for the men’s business through raw material sourcing and development in partnership with key strategic suppliers
• Oversees the fabric rationalization process for all managed areas – including full package
• Execute seasonal fabric development briefs from both Design and Innovation into bulk ready fabrics that meet company fabric standards and adhere to timelines, sourcing strategy and costing targets
• Oversee all fabric testing and concessions; Identify potential production, quality and costing issues, and make recommendations to mitigate risk
• Partner with cross-functional partners to execute counter source fabric development
• Lead weekly cross functional fabric meetings; ensure fabric approval and documentation to all to all business partners to meet sampling and production deadlines
• Lead seasonal fabric rationalization efforts for both nominated and full package fabrics
• Ensure department workload is balanced within team to manage workflow and business needs as they change from season to season
• Consistent progress season over season in Fabric Rationalization initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
• 10 + years experience in the Apparel Industry, 5+ years managing Fabric Development or 3+ years managing a specialized team
• Expertise in denim and non denim fabric structures required
• Expertise in denim and non denim wash methods
• Knowledge of fabric construction standards and manufacturing methods
• Working knowledge of garment manufacturing process
• Comfortable with technology; ability to learn and use new/advanced technology
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage change and shift priorities based on evolving business requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively to a globally diverse audience
• Ability to drive differing viewpoints to consensus
• Ability to utilize technical expertise to level set expectations for developments
