Experience Design Team Lead

This is a creative role. Looking for someone who can manage multiple teams across multiple disciplines deep understanding of web site development (the process of designing it). You will lead a cross-discipline team of creative talent, strategists and producers to invent and execute innovative customer experiences. You are the guiding light and coach for the team and are expected to inspire breakthrough ideas through teamwork and drive the cultural spirit of the group. You are the key relationship lead with internal stakeholders and are accountable for meeting the business and creative goals of your team’s assignments.

The responsibilities of the Vice President, Experience Design Team Lead include:
· Lead a cross-discipline experience design team (and Agencies/vendors) to invent and execute breakthrough solutions that our customers love.
· Manage all projects using Design Thinking principles with agile methods.
· Manage multiple work streams with varying timelines and complexity with authority and passion.
· A proven, subject matter expert in the field of design, information architecture, writing, strategy, or production.
· Partner with strategists, analysts, researchers and other groups to co-create Design briefs and set expectations for deliverables.
· Package creative concepts and present to internal stakeholders in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways -- charismatic story telling skills are a must.
· Support the SVPs, Directors and Managing Directors in the overall growth and development of the Design capability across the company.
· Be a go-getter with an entrepreneurial attitude and passion for innovative solutions and brand experiences that enable progress for our customers.
· Manage the career development of cross-discipline resources and be a motivating and inspiring force in the Agency that gets the best performance out of people.
· Accountability for the effective utilization of resources
· Be the voice of the customer and a champion for world-class brand experiences.

Experience and requirements:
· 7+ years of experience designing rich interactive brand, campaign and ecommerce experiences that drive results. Print experience is a plus.
· Comfort (and some experience) leading Design, UX and Copy resources
· A deep knowledge of the Design Thinking methodology and experience leading teams through the process of investigation, ideation and implementation.
· Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, New Media or related field.
· Experience in both website development and digital marketing including social marketing, video storytelling and static advertising. A background in non-digital marketing (Brand and promotional TV and print) is a huge plus.
· Strong understanding of interaction design, site architecture, and designing intuitive user interfaces and navigation.
· Proficient in all creative software packages (especially Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, iWork and Office)
· Proven expertise in time and project management
· Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and public speaking skills
· Proven leadership and management skills
