Aquent has an immediate need for a Exhibit Design Manager. This Exhibit Design Manager opportunity is a Contract to Hire commitment for one of the industries leading CPG companies! Our client is looking for a well-rounded professional who will be responsible for the management and execution of comprehensive brand experience design projects within the company and collaborating with the New York Design team. Successful candidates will demonstrate superior ability to inspire and engage cross-functional teams, and drive projects from ideation to execution of quality environmental brand design solutions, directly executing them or working with external partners.

The main objective of this role is to execute major design environment projects within a fast paced consumer goods environment (e.g. beverages, snacks, nutrition and sport). This means planning, organizing, and implementing consistent design principles and production processes to ensure that the design/production needs are met with exceptional execution.

Key Accountabilities
• Will work within the company’s growing Design & Innovation Center in lower Manhattan and support special/unique design projects across the organization
• Develop designs, including interactive experiences 3-D exhibit elements, interiors, artifact displays from conceptual stage through construction and implementation
• Support teams in the delivery of Design deliverables
• Assist Design Director in all aspects of design execution on high-profile Brand and Consumer experience events and initiatives
• Manage external agencies where needed
• Must be able to work autonomously and leverage strong project management and relationship skills to keep project deliverables and timelines on track and within budget
• Must be comfortable operationalizing Design Strategies from start to finish
• Must excel at handling relationships with suppliers and have a thorough understanding of technical construction principles
• Participate in conceptual development and illustrate design concepts through a variety of mediums, including hand sketches, computer renderings and animations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Design Project Management: Responsible for partnering across disciplines within the company and external suppliers to ensure design assets are developed and delivered with quality, value, and on-time. Energize both the internal team and external design resources from idea phase to commercialization. Ensures each stakeholder understands his/her role and responsibilities throughout the creative process. Regularly reviews the status of projects with appropriate leadership to verify that expectations are met.

Design Development: Works in collaboration with regional leads, cutting across brand, product, packaging, marketing equipment etc., to collect the design strategy and apply thinking across consumer touch-points. Generates creative design proposals (visions, scenarios, concepts) in order to visualize the desired output and share it with internal and external team members. Participates in research activities and effectively translates customer needs into actionable design requirements.

Supporting the Company’s Global Organization: Partners regularly with the company’s global design organization and business teams. Shares his / her work and supports the development of design culture in the OUS Regions.

External Design Network: Supports the company’s Design Organization in building and cultivating a strong external design network.
