Executive Project Manager

Vitamin T is looking for an Executive Project Manager for a fantastic communications agency to focus on managing projects and campaigns from initial ideation through execution, with the support of internal and freelance resources. Whether working on existing or prospective opportunities, the Executive Project Manager will be expected to understand the brief, scope the project and allocate the necessary resources and budget. On all projects they will supervise the project team, to ensure that all work – from creative concepts to logistics and technical – delivers against agreed objectives and exceeds clients’ expectations.

Please note this is a bit different than a standard agency Project Manager. You must have internal communications experience and leadership experience & know how to work with big corporate clients.

Responsibilities:
Understand the business needs and context of our clients, and how the agency’s work supports client business objectives.
Lead the team to ensure exceptional delivery of all projects.
Coach and develop more junior personnel in the production process, particularly as it relates to non-event communication work.
Recommend best freelance and internal talent for the project.
Manage supplier negotiations.
Lead business pitches.
Build and maintain client relationships
Create project budgets and manage the revenue throughout, ensuring regular budget communication with the client, and creating Scopes of Work (SOWs) as needed for new projects.
Ensure project change notices (PCNs) are clearly communicated to a client and approved.
Reconcile project costs against budget.
