Events Specialist

This marketing team is looking for a strategic and creative marketer that is passionate about engaging large audiences with unique product and brand activations via strategic events. The team has a targeted event presence and/or sponsorships at more than 15 events per year and is looking to both, rationalize its presence at various industry events and find ways of driving greater engagement at these events.

Responsibilities:
1) Audit the current industry events calendar and liaise with multiple team members to build a cohesive events strategy for 2016
2) Negotiate sponsorship deal terms at the right levels with third party event organizers and vendors
3) Coordinate and communicate effectively between sales, product and marketing teams to identify processes for strong engagement at marquee sales events like CES pre and post event
4) Conceive of and manage an experience lounge, logistics, and activation plan at the Annual Leadership Meeting event, managing external event producers, internal sales and product teams
5) Support activation plan of messages launched at events via social, web channels
6) Manage event budgets and vendor spend within determined team scope, communicating changes in real-time
8) Track comprehensive event metrics and ROI for team-wide reporting and analysis post event

Minimum qualifications:
1) 3+ years in event marketing as a producer or account director
2) BA or BS degree
3) Able to lift more than 20 pounds
4) Willingness to work outside of standard work hours
5) Experience with Microsoft office or Google Drive

Preferred qualifications:
1) Strong understanding of the digital advertising events space
2) Demonstrated skills in coordinating large projects involving cross-functional teams
3) Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, venues and negotiate deals with event organizers
4) Creative executor and strong team player
5) Highly organized with great attention to detail; able to provide multiple key stakeholders and partners with transparent planning documentation at any given time

Travel: All travel, if any, will be local, about 5% at most.
