Our corporate software client is hiring an Events Marketing Manager who will drive the planning, promotion and execution for a variety of events including customer conferences, trade show exhibitions, roadshow events, and other activities. As an integral part of the marketing team, you will be responsible for the development of an events strategy that optimizes marketing investment, drives customer and prospect engagement, grows sales pipeline and brings the brand to life in the marketplace. In this highly collaborative role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, flawless project management and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside customers and vendors. Manage annual software user conference with 400+ attendees, including all facets of planning, promotion and execution.

Coordinate client’s sponsorship, exhibition, speaking, or similar participation in industry trade shows, conferences, and symposiums – roughly 20 events per year
Work with marketing, sales and executive teams to identify clear objectives and targets for all events.
Assemble and organize cross functional teams to plan and organize upcoming events.
Document and communicate the relevant plans and status updates to various stakeholders.
Develop strong internal and external communications plans for all events to maximize attendance and results.
Research, identify and contract for speakers, event space, lodging, food and beverage, supplies, audio/visual equipment, signage, décor, travel, shipping etc.
Manage all relevant vendor contracts and communications.
Identify and coordinate staff and external resources for supporting each event.
Manage or assist with additional projects/events such as local client entertainment, management strategy off-sites, department retreats, etc., as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution 3-5 years’ experience in event industry required: event execution, logistic management, venue negotiations
Proven events and marketing skills
Strong project management skills while managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Budget management experience
Highly collaborative and able to excel on a team and cross-functionally company wide
Ability to adapt to rapid changes with positive professional behavior
Proven analytical skills - able to understand, question and track decisions based on data
Strong attention to detail and follow-through on all tactical event details
High event technological aptitude (AV and event related software)
Solution-oriented in an effort for continuous improvement
Experience with Salesforce.Com or other CRM, Marketo or other marketing automation toolsets, and web development technologies preferred, but not required
Must have knowledge of and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Travel is required (anticipated to be 20% or less)
