Events Coordinator

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, organized, data driven and energetic coordinator with a strong desire for community involvement and corporate volunteerism. The coordinator will assist in managing the implementation of a new CSR site for employee engagement, data/reporting collection for program management. The role will include assisting with volunteer event planning for company programs in NYC and globally. This position offers individuals with excellent project management skills to gain experience working in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility for a leading media and technology company in New York City.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project manage onboarding of vendor for employee engagement and grant making (coordinating calls with vendor, managing deadlines and deliverables to stay on track for launch)
Help with event logistics for various program events
Assist with workplace mentoring programs in NYC (coordinating session topics, ordering snacks, booking conference rooms, supplies, liaising with facilities and handling security lists, etc)
Work well alongside other project managers, cross team communication
Manage employee volunteer surveys and post-volunteer recap write-ups
Develop and manage nonprofit outreach, list and application for Corporate Volunteer Day
Assist with budget management and tracking
Manage and respond to inquiries from employees about events
Support department with administrative tasks
Support with social media posts around key events
Handle general office duties, including: research, data entry, answering phones, copying and filing
Fulfill all other duties as assigned by manager
Create and manage updated office location spreadsheet for 50 cities worldwide for corporate volunteer day planning
Manage and organize all metrics and reporting for volunteer program and registration
Contribute to the development and coordination of the Annual Corporate Volunteer Day

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES
2-5 years project management and event planning experience with a passion for cause
Experience working in corporate philanthropy programs a plus
Familiarity of nonprofit landscape and/or experience working with nonprofits
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills
Experience working as the liaison between various vendors and manager
Team-oriented nature
Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong phone presence
Strong knowledge and experience working with Excel and organizing data reports
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills
Self-starter, creative, motivated
Experience working in Google email and Google-Docs as well as Microsoft Office
Experience with social media
Basic knowledge of tech and media landscape
Passion for helping local communities and giving back

Education/Experience
Candidate must be a College graduate
Coordinator or project management experience
