Event/Logistics Coordinator

Aquent's client, a large tech company headquartered in Mountain View, CA, is seeking an Event/Logistics Coordinator for a 12–month assignment.

In this assignment, you will be working with the team that hosts senior executives from global customers and partners at client's US campuses. Their objective is to design and deliver summit meetings that transform customer and partner relationships to be broader and more strategic, with a long-term, significant positive impact on their clients’ businesses. The Event Coordinator is an event coordinator position that works with account teams to put together highly effective Executive Summits.

Main Responsibilities:
-Support multiple summits simultaneously (generally for groups of 5 to 50 people, 3 to 10 events per week)
-Coordinate event logistics working with external and internal vendors by processing catering requests, custom dessert orders, printed name badges, set up digital agendas and coordinating vinyl installs/uninstalls
-Day of set up to ensure smooth execution of all event logistics

Responsibilities:
-Pre event preparation of collating and setting up client swag bags (requires lifting/pushing up to 40lbs and some early morning set up)
-Additional program/team support: help out teammates whenever possible

Minimum Requirements:
-BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record or equivalent work experience
-Strong general understanding of Google docs, hangouts, etc
-Catering and hospitality management experience
-Minimum 2 years experience in a client-facing role or working in direct support of account teams
-Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
-Self-motivated, articulate, cool under stress, excellent verbal, written communications and strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred:
Presentation skills a plus
Understanding sales cycle, sales background a plus
