Long term contract with Fortune 500 Tech company in Indianapolis!

This role is responsible for the tactical planning, execution and oversight of various events, including but certainly not limited to: industry events and internal corporate events, plus supporting other internal and external events as needed. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating work activities with other team members and will be responsible for planning and execution of the event, budgeting, reconciliation and ROI analysis of the events. Position reports directly to the Senior Manager – Events.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with the development of concise integrated event marketing plans that include program
• Understand and be able to articulate corporate marketing objectives and corporate messaging.
• Plan and execute all aspects of industry events, including content preparation and
• Communicate to internal stakeholders on pre-event plans, daily onsite observations and post event
• Continually monitor and assess the performance of all onsite and offsite resources.
• Develop strong relationships with cross functional teams including product marketing, product management, finance, sales, press/analysts, customers, etc.
• Assist Corporate Events as necessary with implementation of best practices, best in class, process improvements and corporate policy, as well as overall Strategic Meeting Management Program
• Compliance with corporate procedures associated with legal, procurement, tax, accounting and

Requirements:
• Experience managing third party vendors.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, problem solve, improvise, function as part of a team and performs well under pressure.
• Experience fostering collaboration and teamwork across cross-functional teams that are not under
• Superior communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Event Marketing, Hospitality or other related field or event management experience with progressive responsibility may be substituted.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years directly responsible for event execution in fast-paced, high-tech sector.
• Previous corporate experience working across multi-functional lines in a shared services
• Proven track record supporting a large corporation in the design of custom websites and automation of the events through an event management tool such as Cvent.
• Previous experience in a corporate events environment.
• Extensive experience working and managing outsourced vendors.
• Previous experience with attendee management tool such as Cvent.
• Certification in meeting planning, event management (CMP). (not required)
• Ability to work individually, yet as a team, in an unsupervised environment.
• Corporate culture and ability to work across lines to facilitate an event.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and event management software such as Cvent.
