Event Planner

Aquent's client, a large tech company headquartered in Mountain View, CA, is seeking an Event Planner for a 12–month assignment. As an Event Planner, you will oversee the successful planning and execution of all external events from inception to completion.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Full scale event management, including owning event strategy, logistical coordination, creative design, content development, vendor/venue selection and coordination, budget management and reconciliation, RSVP management, and onsite registration support
2. Project manage events, following team best practices and offering innovations to those practices
3. Build relationships with internal team members and stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure high-quality events

Additional responsibilities include:
- Work cross functionally with executives and a wide range of groups within client
- Establish event objectives and data driven measurements for success
- Communicate event specifications to the internal crew and internal/external partner teams, with a focus on managing information flow; during and after events, and serve as an escalation point during events
- Collaborate with marketing on positioning and messaging for events
- Conduct post-event ROI analysis and reporting

Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree from accredited 4 year university
- Minimum 5+ years experience managing small and large scale high profile corporate events with 10-1,000+ attendees
- Exceptional project management skills and experience, including managing multiple internal stakeholders, external creative agencies and event vendors
- Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as other event management tools
- A high degree of professionalism and discretion, with the ability to maintain complete confidentiality of extremely sensitive, proprietary information
- A relentless work ethic. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when necessary
- Must be willing to travel at least twice a quarter
- A self-starter who thrives in a very high pressure, fast-paced, dynamic environment, with an ability to think strategically and execute resourcefully on multiple simultaneous projects under tight deadlines, with minimal supervision
- Able to work collaboratively, both as part of a team and independently
- Highly flexible and willing to pivot and change directions on a moment’s notice
- Strong written and interpersonal skills with tact in highly visible, stressful situations

Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years experience managing corporate events in a high growth, fast paced environment, preferably in the tech industry
- Experience managing multi-million dollar event budgets
