Event Marketing Coordinator, San Francisco

We’re looking for a short-term contractor to help drive content, execution, and speaker management for our client's biggest global conference series.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized individual to partner with the head of the team and have an impact not only on the conference, but across the wider talent industry landscape on behalf of the client. We celebrate and elevate talent professionals worldwide, and this is your chance to help manage those will have a voice at the conference this year by taking the stage.

You’ll be part of a team whose focus is on helping talent professionals be more successful by creating and sharing great stories and content through integrated and measurable marketing channels.

What you will do:

Manage all speaker communication and preparation
Project manage a team of session/track owners (including customer led break-outs and product training sessions) who are responsible for prep of their speakers.
Coordinate and manage some sessions directly.
Coordinate communication with speakers and their overall experience.
Coordinate all sessions/speakers onsite, with support from other team members.
Work with core team to help identify any speaker gaps.
Ensure that all presentations are delivered on time.
Collect AV needs from all speakers via the session owners.
Work with external vendors on logistical content needs for all sessions – be the main Point of Contact for critical information
Manage weekly content updates to the Talent Connect website/mobile app in partnership with our Campaign Operations team by updating content via Google Docs
Manage edits to all Talent Connect event signage in partnership with our vendors.
Partner with our production vendor to map out all AV needs for breakout sessions.
Serve as the onsite breakout lead at the conference in Anaheim

Who you are:

This role requires an individual with a unique blend of skill sets. You’re the kind of person who will relish taking us to new heights.

What you need to know:

3-5+ years of experience in a similar role with success in a fast paced, high volume environment
You are a great communicator (written and verbal), be the main liaison between the speakers and others at various levels
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT and Google Docs are a must
You (ideally) have some recruiting/talent industry experience, as your entire audience consists of talent-minded leaders and their teams—it’s important you can talk their talk, understand their challenges, and know the solutions they seek.
You’re a skilled project manager who is highly organized, can develop and manage to project timelines, and ensure deliverable are met by working with customers and cross-functionally within company.
